SAN DIEGO - Four people sustained minor injuries after a three-vehicle crash along the Embarcadero that caused a Mercedes to end up on top of another car.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Harbor Drive and Ash Street. A Toyota sedan and an SUV were headed southbound on Harbor Drive when the driver of a Mercedes tried to make a left turn in front of the two vehicles, causing the collision.The crash also caused a stoplight to fall into the roadway.
Four people suffered minor injuries and were being treated for cuts and bruises. A toddler who was inside the SUV was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.
Officers shut down one lane of Harbor Drive near Ash Street while they conduct their investigation.
