A car crashed into a fire hydrant in the College Area on Wednesday.

The crash occurred near 60th Street and El Cajon Boulevard at about 5:30 p.m.San Diego police say a man was driving his car eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard and was turning onto 60th Street. Police say he became distracted while tuning his car radio and crashed into the hydrant.Officers say the man was embarrassed and apologetic.It took city water department crews about 45 minutes to shut off the water.No injuries were reported.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
