The Pentagon on Wednesday released the name of a 21-year-old Camp Pendleton-based Marine killed in combat this week in Afghanistan.

Lance Cpl. Alec R. Terwiske of Dubois, Ind., died in Helmand Province on Monday, according to the Department of Defense.Terwiske was assigned to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
