Small brush fires in Poway, Santee quickly put out

POWAY, Calif. - Firefighters made quick work of two small brush fires in Poway and Santee.

The fire in Poway started near Midland at Twin Peaks roads at about 3 p.m. and was moving uphill.

It briefly threatened one home and burned about three quarters of an acre before crews knocked it down.

Crews also quickly put out a brush fire at Mast Park in Santee. That fire started near Carlton Hills Boulevard and Carlton Oaks Drive at about 2:45 p.m. It burned less than an acre before it was put out.

No structural damage or injuries were reported in either of the fires.
