Boy-band Backstreet Boys extends world tour

LOS ANGELES - Backstreet Boys announced Thursday it is extending its In A World Like This tour and will perform in San Diego.

The boy band, which made its announcement on Good Morning America, said it will perform in at least 23 more concerts in response to an "overwhelming demand" for the show.

All five original members—Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson—will let San Diegans relive the 90s on Wednesday, May 28 at the Viejas Arena. The show will also feature singer Avril Lavigne and will end on June 22 in Wantagh, N.Y.

BSB came to fame in the mid 1990s with hits like Quit Playin' Games and Anywhere For You and have sold more than 130 million records world-wide, making them the best-selling boy band.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, Mar. 21.
