RAMONA, Calif. - Authorities are investigating the discovery of a woman's body found Wednesday afternoon on the Barona Indian Reservation.
The body was found under a tree on a dirt road off Wildcat Canyon Road at San Vicente Oaks Road just after 3:30 p.m., according to Barona Tribal Enforcement.
San Diego police told 10News it is possible the body belongs to 79-year-old Mehria Mansury, but said late Wednesday it is too early to tell and that they would not for know for sure until an autopsy was performed.
Mansury was last seen last Tuesday at her home in Serra Mesa.
Homicide detectives say the body appears to have been there for some time but would not speculate as to how long.
The autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning.
