SAN DIEGO - Authorities Thursday are investigating the discovery of a body in a drainage ditch in San Ysidro.
The discovery was made at about 12:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of East Beyer Blvd., authorities said.
Authorities believe the deceased person was actually discovered Sunday night by a person entering the U.S. illegally.
Authorities said the illegal border crosser crawled through a drainage ditch and found the body. The person later reported the discovery.
The circumstances behind the person's death has not yet been determined.
