A 31-year-old man from Orange County was found dead along a road in northern San Diego County, and detectives on Sunday asked for the public's help in the form of reports of any unusual activity in the area.

The department revealed that the body of Javier Hernandez Rojas, of Orange, was found Friday morning on the Pala Indian Reservation alongside Pala-Temecula Road in Pala, sheriff's department Public Affairs Officer Jan Caldwell said.

There were no obvious injuries found on the body, Lt. Larry Nesbit said, and the cause of death has not yet been determined by the medical examiner's office.

Investigators from the sheriff's Homicide Detail and Crime Lab and the U.S. Border Patrol are participating in this investigation, Nesbit said.

Deputies asked anyone with information to contact the San Diego Sheriff's Communication Center at (858) 565-5200. Providing information that leads to an arrest could garner a $1,000 reward, Nesbit said.
