The body found floating off the Ocean Beach Pier on Saturday was that of 34-year-old Pacific Beach resident Lawrence James Booth.

His body was pulled from the water after a fisherman him floating near the southwest leg of the pier shortly after 9a.m. Saturday.Lifeguard officials said the body, which was found with no identification, was brought ashore in a rescue boat.It was unclear how long the body had been in the water, but his death was confirmed at the scene due to the onset of rigor mortis, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.An autopsy has not yet been performed.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
