Authorities on Friday released the name of a 29-year-old man killed in a bicycle accident on a Kearny Mesa thoroughfare.

David Ortiz of Pacific Beach was riding to the west in an eastbound lane in the 7500 block of Balboa Avenue when a Ford Expedition hit him about 7 a.m. Thursday, according to police and the county Medical Examiner's Office.He fell onto the roadway, where two other cars struck him, killing him at the scene.Intoxication was not believed to have been a factor in the accident, SDPD Officer Frank Cali said.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
