Bay Park couple's cold case killing still unsolved

SAN DIEGO - Investigators are still looking for information into the unsolved killings of a Bay Park couple more than five years ago.

On May 7, 2009, Barry and Carol Sandberg were found murdered in their home. Their Harley Davidson motorcycle was stolen, and has not been found since.

For the past four years, their friends have held a bike ride in their honor. The 5th annual Memorial Motorcycle Ride will begin this Sunday at 1 p.m. at Mount Soledad. It ends at 4645 Morena Blvd. in San Diego.

The California Governor’s Office has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, along with a $1,000 reward from Crime Stoppers. Anyone with information should call the San Deigo police at 619-531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
