Authorities searching for man in armed robbery of Poway Sprint store

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego County Sheriff's Department Thursday released images captured by surveillance cameras in hopes of identifying a man who held up a Poway Sprint store at gunpoint.

The robbery in the 13500 block of Poway Road happened about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to the sheriff's department, which, along with Crime Stoppers, offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the man's arrest.

The suspect walked into the business armed with a silver revolver and ordered employees to place iPhones into a bag he was carrying. He then forced the employees into a restroom and ordered them to stay there until he was gone.

Surveillance camera images depict a black man, 35 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall and 160 to 180 pounds. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt with a red trim, a black mask, black pants, black shoes and one black glove on his right hand.
