Avalos accused of sexually assaulting a minor

SAN DIEGO - Authorities are searching for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a juvenile, sheriff's officials announced Wednesday.

Enrique Alejandro Avalos, 20, is wanted by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department's Fugitive Task Force. He is accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile female.

In December 2013, a $150,000 bail felony warrant -- for Willful Cruelty to a Child and False Imprisonment -- was issued for Avalos.  

According to sheriff's officials, Avalos held the victim against her will and sexually assaulted her. His brother, Ramon Avalos, is currently in custody for the same incident and awaiting trial.

Enrique Alejandro Avalos commonly goes by the name "Kiki Avalos," sheriff's officials said.

His current whereabouts are unknown, but it is believed Avalos, a U.S. citizen, may have fled to Mexico.

Sheriff's officials said Avalos went to high school in Chula Vista and has family around Southern California, including the Riverside area.
 
Avalos is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 250 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information Avalos' whereabouts is urged to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
