VISTA, Calif. - Authorities on Tuesday are responding to reports of a possible near drowning in Vista.

The incident occurred in the 300 block of West Los Angeles Drive at about 3:40 p.m.

According to preliminary reports, a 1-year-old was found face down in a bucket of water.

The child was taken via Mercy Air to Rady Children's Hospital. The child's condition was unknown.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department was assisting the Vista Fire Department in this incident.
