SAN DIEGO - Authorities are searching for a couple accused of stealing $1,500 worth of baby formula from a North County Walmart store.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the incident happened on Oct. 28 at about 7:45 p.m. at the Walmart store on 700 Center Drive, in the Nordahl Marketplace Mall.

Sheriff's officials said a man and woman filled two black bags with baby formula and tried to exit the store. Store employees tried to stop the couple at the door, but the man pulled out a knife and threatened to use it, according to sheriff's officials.

A description of the couple has not been provided.

No arrests have been made.
