SAN DIEGO -
Authorities asked the public Monday for help in finding a man suspected of choking his wife to the point of unconsciousness at their Grant Hill home and later shooting one of her friends, leaving him seriously wounded.
Christian Dominguez allegedly attacked the woman shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday, then fled the area, according to San Diego police.
At about 6:45 a.m. Sunday, the victim heard a knock at her door, looked outside and saw that Dominguez had returned. She woke a male friend, who opened the door and was shot in the chest, suffering a non-lethal wound, Lt. Charles Lara said.
Dominguez, who is wanted on charges of domestic assault and attempted murder, may be driving a red Mitsubishi Eclipse with an unknown license number, the lieutenant said. Police did not release his age.
Anyone with information about the case was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
