Amber Alert issued for baby girl abducted in Santa Barbara

SAN DIEGO - UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been canceled after the baby was found safe and the suspect was taken into custody in San Ysidro.

An Amber Alert has been activated in San Diego County for a baby girl allegedly abducted in Santa Barbara.

Six-month-old Nayeli Martinez was last seen at about 9 p.m. on Aug. 3, and authorities believe she is with 28-year-old Joshua Ivan Martinez.

The suspect was last seen driving a 2013 4-door black Ford Focus with temporary dealer license plates that read Garcia Auto Sales.

Authorities believe the man and child may be somewhere in San Diego County and possibly headed to Mexico.

The child is described as Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 187 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
