ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) - An Escondido woman is out thousands of dollars after she said her business fell prey to hackers.

Ginny Edmunds runs Healthy Body Head to Toe, a family business that she runs out of her home. Edmunds sells organic mattresses, bedsheets, pillows and essential oils -- all of it exclusively on Amazon.

However, Edmunds' husband noticed something was wrong with their Amazon sellers account last Friday.

"Our account was hacked," Ginny Edmunds said. "Somebody went in and changed our bank account to some account in Croatia."

She and her husband discovered it, but Amazon closed their sellers account while the online mall investigates the hack.

"It's probably going to cost us thousands of dollars," she said, explaining that Amazon's investigation will last about a week.

"If we hadn't notified Amazon, the good news is that we would still have our account," Edmunds said. "The bad news is that $20,000 would probably have gone to someone else."
