SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Eight-year-old Jordan Keller has proved she's a fighter since day one. She was born five weeks early, weighing just 4 lbs. 5 oz.

At age four she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and started a two-year chemotherapy course.

"She's always been tough and I think that's where we are right now because she's had the ability and strength to overcome a lot of obstacles," said her mother, Jen Keller.

As Jordan was finishing her fight with cancer, she found herself up against yet another hardship. She contracted West Nile from a mosquito bite, hitting her immunocompromised body hard.

She now lives with spastic quadriplegia and can no longer walk, use her upper extremities or talk.

One of the biggest challenges for the family is mobility, getting her to and from places in their van.

A fundraiser was started for the family to convert their van into one that is wheelchair accessible. It will cost nearly $30,000.

The Kellers say if they raise the money, their first trip will be to Disneyland.
