Reward Offered For Missing Gorilla

Inflatable Gorilla Reportedly Stolen From Vista Business

UPDATED: 6:31 pm PDT August 22, 2006

The search is on to find a gorilla that was stolen from a North County business last week.

An inflatable gorilla measuring 30-feet was anchored on top of the A-1 Factory Direct building in Vista.

Workers said someone may have climbed up onto the roof and loosened the ropes that tied the gorilla down.

“We had it anchored with rope, but we did not have a chain or anything like that. We never thought in our wildest dreams someone would take it,” said Lynn Enyedi of A-1 Factory Direct.

A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the return of the gorilla.
