SAN DIEGO -- Animal advocates warned pet owners Monday of an animal abuser who is moving to San Diego, 10News reported. Shon Rahrig plead guilty six years ago to abusing cats and puppies in Ohio. He served 45 days in jail for his acts and since then has lived in numerous states, from Florida to California. Animal advocates passed out fliers Monday at Dog Beach warning pet owners of Rahrig's upcoming move to San Diego. Some pet owners 10News spoke had different opinions about the warning. "I do think animals need to be protected, but you can take things too far and this seems too far to me," pet owner Jeff Kronenberg said. "This is disgusting and not something small. People need to know he's capable of this because he's capable of doing it again," pet owner Dustin Rawls said. Animal advocates say the goal is to warn anyone who might sell or give him a pet, like shelters or pet stores.
