SAN DIEGO -- Neighbors of Lindbergh Field gathered Monday to protest the idea of building a second runway. At a rally, residents spoke out against the proposal.Councilman Kevin Faulconer, who attended the rally, said the option of a second runway should not be considered anymore since the Airport Authority has already rejected it."As it gets closer to the decision time here in June, our goal here today was just to remind them that their own numbers show that this just doesn't work and don't keep revisiting a second runway at Lindbergh Field," said Faulconer. If built, a second runway would wipe out thousands of homes and force hundreds of businesses to relocate.
