Investigators Found Nearly 70 Fighting Cocks

SAN DIEGO -- An alleged cockfighting ring has been broken up in North County, 10News reported.Animal control said it raided a cockfight in progress late Sunday at a home in the 25000 block of Lake Wohlford Road in Valley Center.One person was arrested and 10 others were cited and released.Investigators found nearly 70 fighting cocks at the home.Three were dead and about two dozen others were injured.
