SAN DIEGO -- Jean makers are known for their styles and fits but how about a pair of jeans with a social conscience?About three dozen jeans will be auctioned Thursday to benefit the San Diego Center For Children.Boutique jean maker Chip and Pepper donated the pants, but local artists and designers have turned them into creations all their own.
"Some of them have been painted, some of them have been reconstructed, some of them have been embellished. It's all across the board the types of art that we have gotten back," said Ellen Smoak, with Consciously Social. The "Jeans For Justice" fashion and trunk show will be held Thursday evening at the Stingaree in the Gaslamp Quarter. For more information, click here.
