Red Light Camera Ticket Hotline Available

Citations At Three Intersections May Be Dismissed

Drivers cited at three intersections, where an audit of the red light photo enforcement system is being conducted, can call a hotline to find out if their tickets have been dismissed. According to San Diego City Attorney Casey Gwinn, the recorded message is specifically for motorists issued tickets at the following intersections after May 18, 2000:
  • 16th & F Streets
  • Ingraham and Garnet
  • Mira Mesa Boulevard and Black Mountain Road
Citations issued during that time are reportedly being dismissed. The hotline number is (619) 533-5604. Last week, Police Chief David Bejarano called for an audit of all 19 red light photo enforcement cameras in San Diego. While gathering information for a trial, police officers discovered that the underground sensor loops at three intersections had been moved by Lockheed Martin, the private company that operates the cameras. Citations issued at 16 other San Diego intersections where photo enforcement cameras are in place remain valid, according to Gwinn's office.
