EL CAJON, Calif. -- About 700 people gathered at St. Peter's Church in El Cajon to pay their respects to Heather Mattia -- the 22-year-old killed during a robbery at the liquor store she co-owned. Her co-worker, Firas Eiso, 23, was also killed. Both were shot in the back of the head. For those who knew Mattia, it's been hard saying goodbye considering what happened. "This is so shocking. It has broken the community, broken their hearts, everybody is sad," family friend Wadie Deddeh said. Some wore T-shirts that said, "Always Loved, Forever Missed, Never Forgotten." "It's a sad day. There isn't a dry eye in the house," a friend said. People want to remember Mattia for how she lived her life, not how it ended. "She was wholesome and gracious and always smiling," another friend said. Eiso's funeral will be held Friday. His family is in Iraq and Rep. Duncan Hunter is trying to make arrangements to bring the family to San Diego so they can attend the service.
