SAN DIEGO - Seven people were transported to the hospital Sunday after a multi-vehicle crash on a freeway transition road in Mission Valley.
The crash on the connector from westbound Interstate 8 to Interstate 805 was reported about 11 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said it involved three SUVs and occurred due to an unsafe lane change.
A total of eleven people suffered minor injuries. Seven of them were taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital to be checked out.
One lane on the transition road was temporarily closed after the crash, authorities said.
