UPDATED: 8:15 am PST January 26, 2006

A woman was in custody Thursday on suspicion of injuring her three daughters at their home in Vista, authorities said.

Latasha Brown, 38, will be booked on suspicion of felony child abuse and child endangerment, said San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Scott Rossall.

Deputies arrived at a residence in the 800 block of Normark Terrace in Vista around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in response to a 911 call reporting that three children had numerous injuries, Rossall said.

Deputies then discovered Brown, who showed signs of being drunk or on drugs, he said.

Brown's 4-year-old daughter was taken by helicopter to Children's Hospital in San Diego to be treated for injuries to her face and head, Rossall said.

Her other two other daughters, ages 5 and 13, were transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido for various bodily injuries, he said.

None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, Rossall said.
