6 injured in San Ysidro stabbing attack

SAN YSIDRO - A man is in custody after he reportedly stabbed six different people Sunday afternoon in San Ysidro.

A group of people, age 17-21, were returning from Mexico when they were attacked by a Hispanic male on the 700 block of San Ysidro Boulevard around 4:40 p.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.

The suspect stabbed six people in the group in various parts of the body and were transported to area hospitals. One person, who was stabbed in the chest, is under critical condition, according to police.
