6 displaced after house fire in Chollas View

SAN DIEGO - Six people were displaced after a house fire in Chollas View on Sunday.

The fire was reported just before 9 a.m. in the 3300 block of Juanita Street near Redwood Street.

Crews arrived to find the home fully involved and were able to knock down the fire by 9:14 a.m.

The occupants who were home at the time of the fire were able to get out safely. No one was injured. Two dogs were also able to escape to the backyard. Both were also uninjured.

Estimated damage to the home is $200,000 and $100,000 in damage to property.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department's Metro Arson Strike Team has been called out to investigate.
