SAN DIEGO -- Bi-lingual and Spanish speaking San Diegans can see their favorite shows from Mexico on Azteca America San Diego. The popular programming can be found throughout the San Diego area on cable channel 15 or over the air on channel 41.The Azteca brand is as famous to Mexicans as the ABC brand, Coca-Cola or Kleenex is in the United States.The network offers nightly news from Mexico and a local Spanish extension of 0News.
Community action reporter Adrianna Alcaraz has already launched several local initiatives that bridge 10News and Azteca America San Diego, including a literacy project, immunizations and a South Bay Town Hall meeting that gave residents an opportunity to meet their elected officials and Ask the Media.San Diego's local Hispanic population is exploding -- a third of the consumers in San Diego market -- and Azteca America San Diego provides an opportunity to extend the 10News tradition of news integrity, advocacy and community action to bi-lingual and Spanish language customers in the San Diego area."It's one voice, two languages" said Derek Dalton, 10News vice president and general manager.
