LA JOLLA, Calif. -- A controversial campus television show at UCSD that was shut down last March is back on air, 10News reported. The student council voted to shut down Koala TV after the show featured nudity and amateur sex. The council recently told producer and host, Steve York, the show could air if he tones the content down. The decision is getting mixed reaction from students.
"It's not everyone 's choice and to be subjected to it, if you're flipping the channel, it could be highly offensive to someone," UCSD freshman Anita Prasad said. "College is a place to expand your mind. You should be able to pursue any endeavor you want," UCSD senior Forest Conard Borie said. The station managers for the new academic year had decided that they would not pull the plug on the show unless students were put in physical danger. The show can only be seen on campus.
