Coach Accused Of Molesting Player Faces Judge

Jimenez Pleads Not Guilty

A preliminary hearing was scheduled Monday morning for a 28- year-old man accused of having sex three times with a 14-year-old player on the girls soccer team that he coached.

Lidio Castrejon Jimenez pleaded not guilty to three counts of child molestation when he was arraigned in April.

Sheriff's Sgt. M'Liss Hinshaw said the girl and a parent filed a complaint at the Vista substation several days before Jimenez was arrested on a soccer field.

The defendant coached 13- to 15-year-old girls in "Tiffany's Soccer League."

Jimenez has been in jail in lieu of $250,000 bail since his arrest.

The preliminary hearing will serve to determine if there is enough evidence for a judge to order Jimenez to stand trial.
