SAN DIEGO -- A 60-year-old man was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting Saturday during a disturbance at an RV park near El Cajon, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

Timothy Wade Gillespie, a 49-year-old contractor from El Cajon, was found lying outside a motor home by deputies called to the 15100 block of Old Highway 80 shortly before 2 a.m., Saturday, sheriff's homicide Lt. Thomas Bennett said.

Gillespie was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:19 a.m., Bennett said.

Neighbors and witnesses told investigators there had been an argument or disturbance just before the shooting, 10News reported.

John Richard Browning, who lives at the address where the victim was found, was arrested about 6 a.m. and booked into the Central Jail on suspicion of murder, Bennett said.

Browning was held without bail, pending arraignment in El Cajon, the clerk said.
