PTSD can affect military families and non-military individuals suffering from traumatic events, disasters, illnesses, etc. It can also affect anyone involved with those affected. The Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Rehabilitation Center wants to prepare the community to support all individuals suffering from PTSD and their families. They hope to provide education about PTSD including symptoms, how it affects personal relationships, treatment for the disorder and available resources.

PTSD can affect military families and non-military individuals suffering from traumatic events, disasters, illnesses, etc. It can also affect anyone involved with those affected. The Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Rehabilitation Center wants to prepare the community to support all individuals suffering from PTSD and their families. They hope to provide education about PTSD including symptoms, how it affects personal relationships, treatment for the disorder and available resources.

Every summer The Arc of San Diego puts together "live-in" resident camps for children and adults with disabilities. The camps offer everything from hiking to campfires to talent shows. This unique volunteer opportunity is available for teens and adults ages 15 and up. No experience is necessary and volunteers do not necessarily need to work the entire summer. Room and board is provided.
