4 Students Hospitalized After Taking Unknown Drug

Four Mira Mesa High School students were taken to a local hospital Tuesday afternoon after taking an unknown drug, a spokesman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.

The spokesman said the ninth-grade students went to the nurse's office all complaining of nausea.

Each student said they had ingested an unknown pill from another student, according to the spokesman.

Campus police and the students' parents were contacted, and all four students were taken to Sharp Hospital.

A San Diego Unified School District representative said it is still not known what the students took and tests were being conducted.

Campus police are investigating the incident.
