SAN DIEGO -- For the next few months, five women are in for quite an adventure. They've temporarily adopted triplets -- a boy and two girls -- while the mother recovers from major surgery.Becky Arriola, (pictured, right), the mother of Joey, Anna and Elsa, is having her colon removed and will need six to eight weeks to recover."My biggest fear is something happening in surgery and I'm not going to be around to see my children grow up That's my biggest fear of everything," Arriola told 10News.But Arriola is getting a lot of help from five women -- three who started as strangers, but are now like family. The women -- Robin Van Bibber, Amy Norris, Sheree Robeson, Terry Garrett and Judy Stover -- have stepped up to help a mother in need. Together, they will take turns caring for the triplets over the next four months.Feeding time is one thing, but the triplets go through 30 diapers a day and a boxload of baby wipes.Norris is the one who spearheaded the search for help by recruiting the women from her church. The "aunties" said they love the triplets like their own. They've gained a precious friendship."It's a big responsibility, but I'm happy to do it because we want Becky to be better and be the mom that she wants to be," Garrett said."They are my angels. I don't know what I'd do without them. They're absolutely priceless," Arriola said.
