Agent Fires Shots Into Van; Chase Ensues

One Passenger Injured

An investigation is under way after an officer involved shooting in El Cajon, 10News reported.

Border Patrol agents followed a van full of suspected undocumented immigrants Monday night.

After a brief confrontation, an agent fired shots into the van, wounding one passenger.

The driver sped away, leading police and border patrol on a chase that ended when the van smashed into a building at Grossmont High School.

Several people were detained.

The injured passenger is expected to recover, according to 10News.
