Man Gardening Finds Stick Of Dynamite
Dynamite May Be Related To Construction 30 Years Ago

SAN DIEGO -- A Rancho Bernardo man doing some yard work found a stick of dynamite with wires hanging out one end, San Diego police said Sunday. The discovery was made about 4 p.m. Saturday in the 12000 block of Montero Way, police said. Officers with the Metro Arson Strike Team disarmed the dynamite, San Diego Police Department Sgt. Alan Hayward said. The man who found the dynamite speculated that it might have been related to construction done in the area 30 years ago, Hayward said.
