SAN DIEGO -- A young woman allegedly hurled boiling oil at her teenage sister in the victim's Chollas Creek-area home Monday, sending her to a hospital for treatment of burns over much of her body, 10News reported. The assault occurred in the 3800 block of 50th Street shortly before 2:30 p.m., according to San Diego police.
Amber Jackson, 20, allegedly knocked on the door of her 15-year-old sibling's bedroom, holding the hot cooking oil in a cup, and said, "So you think you're pretty? It won't last," San Diego Police Department Sgt. Rod Vandiver said. She then allegedly threw the liquid at the girl and fled. An ambulance crew took the victim to UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest for treatment of burns to her neck, chest, abdomen and hip. Jackson, a transient known to frequent neighborhoods around El Cajon Boulevard, remains at large, according to 10News.
