3.6-magnitude earthquake rattles parts of San Diego: Shaking recorded near Borrego Springs

SAN DIEGO - Parts of San Diego County were rattled Monday by a shallow earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
Automated sensors recorded the quake at 7:33 a.m. about 12 miles southwest of Ocotillo Wells and 54 miles east-northeast of San Diego, according to the USGS. It was recorded at a depth of .062 mile.
Residents in Ramona reported light shaking, and weak shaking was reported in Borrego Springs, Campo, Poway and Alpine, according to the USGS.
No damage was reported.
