Video Shows Robbers In Masks, Carrying Weapons

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Serial bank robbers in Washington, D. C., were caught on tape by a local television news crew, 10News reported.
The robbers hit the Sun Trust bank branch in the Northwest section of D.C. Tuesday morning. Authorities say it is their sixth heist since January.Video taken by a WTTG TV crew shows of one of the robbers in a mask, carrying an assault rifle, waiting outside the bank. Two men with similar masks and weapons then ran out and the group jumped into a minivan and sped off.The van was found torched about 1½ miles away from the bank.Police say one of the robbers fired a gun into the air inside the bank. No one was injured.The news crew happened to be in position for another story at a fire station when someone rushed in to report the robbery. The crew quickly turned the camera around to capture the incident.
