Juror Needs Surgery, Unable To Continue With Trial

SAN DIEGO -- A juror serving in the Richard Tuite murder trial was replaced Monday, 10News reported.The juror has a medical problem that requires surgery, so she cannot continue with the trial. Now, there are only three alternate jurors left on the case.The jurors heard Monday from more rebuttal witnesses in the prosecution's case, which will end Tuesday.Closing arguments may start as early as Monday.Tuite is accused of stabbing 12-year-old Stephanie Crowe to death as she slept in her Escondido home six years ago.
