Police: Female Jogger Sexually Assaulted
Assault Occurred In Mission Bay Park

SAN DIEGO -- Police on Sunday are searching for whoever sexually assaulted a woman jogging in Mission Bay Park.
The woman was jogging at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday when she was "grabbed from behind and rendered unconscious," said San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.Police said the woman woke up and drove herself to the hospital. She had visible injuries to her neck, back and wrists, according to police.The exact location in the park where the assault occurred was unclear, police said.Officers found a man near where the assault occurred and detained him as a person of interest. He was questioned by detectives and later released.Police said the investigation is ongoing.
