Suspect Fired Shots Outside Dirk’s Nightclub In 7600 Block Of Broadway

Lemon Grove, CALIF. -- A man who was kicked out of an East County bar early Saturday returned with a rifle and opened fire at the building according to Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Maxin.The man was at Dirk's Nightclub in the 7600 block of Broadway when he was asked to leave just before 2 a.m.He came back a short time later with another man and fired multiple rounds with a semi-automatic rifle while standing in the parking lot, Maxin said. No one was hit.Deputies recovered numerous shell casings.The shooter and his friend were both described as white, in their late 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with thin builds.They drove off in a dark-colored pickup.
