ENCINITAS, Calif. - Three people are in the hospital Thursday after a major collision at an intersection in Encinitas.
The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. Wednesday night at Leucadia Boulevard and Saxony Road.
Emergency crews found two heavily-damaged cars on different sides of the road.
One person was transported to an area hospital for major injuries.
Two others were also taken to the hospital.
Authorities are investigating the crash, which shut down the intersection for several hours.
10News learned that one of the drivers is underage and suspected of driving under the influence.
