SAN DIEGO - A multiple-car crash on north Interstate 805 near the Intestate 8 connector caused a massive backup Tuesday.

The crash was reported at 5:51 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol website reports that at least three vehicles blocked one of the lanes on north I-805.
The crash caused traffic to be backed up as of 6:16 a.m.
As of 6:37 a.m., lanes were cleared. 10News Traffic Reporter Melissa Mecija said northbound Interstate 5 is a good alternate route for those looking to avoid delays.
