"American Idol" judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson along with the TV show's host Ryan Seacrest went aboard the USS Midway on Monday to discuss the show's final round of auditions.

Jackson said the talent in San Diego has been top notch.

"Amazing dude… amazing, amazing," he said. "No lie.”

The first round of San Diego auditions were held in early July. Aerial footage from Sky10 showed thousands of hopeful singers lining up for their chance to audition at Petco Park.

"American Idol" will now going into its 10th year. When asked how the judges help keep the show fresh, Tyler said, "I don't know what's gone on in the past, but in the last two years – especially this year – it's been the talent. It's what speaks about it."

10News reporter John Carroll asked how skeptics who think the show's producers have already chosen the winners and losers before they ever get to the judges.

"Not true. [It's] baloney… holy baloney," said Jackson and Seacrest.

The new season of "American Idol" will premiere in January. Producers told 10News they are not yet sure when the San Diego episodes will air.
