As the prosecution wraps up its part of the case against Richard Tuite, Stephanie Crowe's parents spent most of the day on the stand providing chilling details of the first moments after her murder was discovered, 10News reported.

Prosecutors from the state Attorney General's Office called Stephen Crowe, (pictured, right), and Cheryl Crowe, (pictured, far right), to the witness stand Tuesday.

Six years after Stephanie's murder, her father recalled the prank she pulled the last time he saw her alive.

"She had taken a pencil that was broken up and stuck one in one ear and one in the other ear. She said, 'Look!' I said, 'That's real cute, but don't do that. You can fall and hurt yourself,'" Stephen Crowe said during his testimony.

The next morning, Stephen Crowe testified he saw his daughter lying lifeless and bloody on her bedroom floor.

Showing no emotion, Tuite, the transient on trial for the killing Crowe, listened to the father's testimony, including an emotional 911 call from when Stephanie was found.

Initially, Crowe's brother Michael and two friends were charged with the crime. Police found no signs of forced entry. During cross examination, the defense pinpointed contradictions made by Crowe over whether the doors were locked that night.

The defense also questioned Stephen Crowe about the words "Kill, kill" found in Stephanie's bedroom.

"I couldn't tell if it looked like anybody's writing," Stephen Crowe said.

Cheryl Crowe took the stand after Stephen Crowe testified. She tearfully recalled the moment she knew Stephanie was dead.
