Police Probe 3 Robberies Involving Craigslist
Robberies Occurred In College Grove, Mid-City Areas, Police Say

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police are investigating a string of incidents within a span of hours on Monday where several people trying to sell things on Craigslist were robbed.One robbery occurred at about 9:52 p.m. in the 4500 block of 56th Street. Police said in that case, a woman told a man she had a room available for rent. The man went to see the room and the woman took his money and fled in a black Jeep, according to police.The man sustained injuries while going after the Jeep and was taken to an area hospital. His condition was unknown.Two other robberies took place after 8:30 p.m. in the Mid-City area in the 4100 block of 37th Street and in the 200 block of Pardee Place. It was unclear exactly what times the incidents occurred. In those robberies, police believe a black male and white female in their 30s committed the robberies and drove away in a white two-door sedan.Police believe the three incidents are connected.
